CSS 2.1 selectors explained

Posted on by Clive Walker in CSS

I wrote this post a while back. The content can still be relevant but the information I've linked to may not be available.

Roger Johansson at 456 Berea Street has written a great series of articles on CSS 2.1 selectors. The final part 3 on CSS 2.1 pseudo classes and pseudo elements has just been published.

The articles are very well explained and easy-to-read. Just what is required to help you with CSS 2.1!

Hi. The power of CSS is amazing. I’ve seen a few sites like this one where I’ve been blown away by what you can do. A lot of DHTML and other funkiness can be avoided if you’re clever with your stylesheet.
I want to manage a stick up footer on the website for IE 5.0 + with CSS. As you can see on bmw.co.uk. Thanks

I think you are looking for something like the footerstickAlt method. View these examples to see it in action.
