Rounded corners with CSS is a web design method that has received lots of attention and many different solutions have been suggested. The Nifty Corners method uses no images and some clever JavaScript to achieve the effect.
The third version of Nifty Corners has now been released. Speaking from our own experience, we think this is a really smart solution. Instead of creating various corner images of different colours that are combined with extra mark-up, the corner effect is created by specifying colours in the CSS stylesheet and the JavaScript code does the rest.
This method really comes into its own when using several different rounded corners in the same website. In particular, it’s great for demonstrating new websites to clients. A simple CSS edit and a JavaScript call can quickly change the colours/corner sizes of many elements in the page.
The technique degrades nicely as well. Users with JavaScript disabled will simply see square corners.
The new version even includes a way of creating same height columns. Neat! I can think of several websites where I want to try Nifty Corners Cube!
