Despite running several pub guide websites [Horsham Pub Guide, Sussex Pub Links] out of personal interest, I have not actually created many pub websites before now. Someone once told me that I should use these personal websites to approach every single pub in Sussex with the aim of atttracting web design business. There are pros and cons to that approach but, in fact, I have just created a website for a local pub.
The Old Well is a recently refurbished village pub in Southwater. It needed a website to publicise itself after a recent change of name and to attract more visitors to its new restaurant. The website is more of a webpage actually but the aim is to 'start small' and add more pages later.
In my opinion, a single page website is a good way of getting a wider exposure for the business without breaking the bank. Many pubs do not need to do this because of passing trade but for country pubs and pubs that have changed name/owners or been renovated, it seems like a good approach to me.
