We have all seen those lightbox-type effects on websites. They are used for displaying photos [see Lightbox] and/or pop-up modal windows. I think they are pretty cool. In fact, I use Thickbox on CVW Web Design. Up to now, you needed to use JavaScript to get the effect. Not any more! Now, Jenna Smith has published a validated CSS-only lightbox that achieves a very similar effect without JavaScript. Clever stuff.
