Income for website owners
If you are the proud owner of a new website, you may be considering various income streams from advertising. Text links and other textual advertising, for example Google AdSense, are often better income sources than banner ads. Text Link Ads are one way of generating income using textual advertising.
How it works
As a website publisher, register with TLA, enter a few details, and add some simple website code. Where you place the code is up to you but bear in mind that it will be easier to attract advertisers if the code is prominently placed.
TLA will publicise your website with various website advertisers and sell the space on your website. If successful, you will see sponsored text links appearing after a few days.
How much can I earn?
The amount you earn depends on the TLA ‘marketplace’. The market price is calculated with an algorithm that uses factors such as the traffic, theme, and link popularity of your website. TLA uses Alexa as one measure of your website popularity.
The market price can range from $20 to more than $200 per month for each text link. There is a 50/50 split of income between you and TLA. Eight text links are available to sell – so this can amount to a tidy sum if all are sold.
What else do I need to know?
The text links sold by TLA are not contextually-based so you can use Google AdSense on the same website.
Of course, if you are a potential advertiser, you can also sign up with TLA and buy text links on publisher websites.
Overall, it seems like a win-win situation.
