Things have been quiet on the blog front recently because we have been working on a few ecommerce websites for several clients.
We use an ecommerce web template which to some people sounds like an easy option. It is perhaps easy to imagine that a template will allow a store to be built in a day or less. That’s not really the case but the templates can allow rapid development of an online shop without too much hassle.
Rapid to us means a few days work but this is very quick considering the shop functionality that is built into the ecommerce web templates. Multiple payment providers, viewing orders, and a website search facility are all set-up in a short time. However, as with any project, it is best to be realistic and allow a bit of extra time for some testing before the store goes online.
Here’s one (we made earlier) showing the storefront areas.
