Over the past few months, we have been working on a website for Toys and Learning. After some hard graft, we're pleased to say that the website is now open for business. Yay!
Throughout the process, one of the key objectives was to try and make the browsing and purchase process as simple and user-friendly as possible. At the same time, we know that it is a competitive market, so we will be looking to optimise the shop design and functionality based on customer feedback.
The website uses ecommerce website software from Ecommerce Templates plugged into a new CSS-based layout. From a web design perspective, I must say that it was much easier to use a CSS layout. One of the reasons for this was the use of a simple margin and padding zero reset rule in our style sheet. It made life a lot easier compared with some tables-based layouts [that we know and love, ahem].
It's always an exciting time when a website starts trading for the first time!
