I'm attending the Future of Web Design conference in London in a few weeks time and I'm hoping for an interesting day 'away from the office'. Last year, I found some of the presentations at the conference a bit abstract for my taste. There were also some very good good speakers though and they made the day worthwhile overall.
This year, the schedule for the regular conference looks to be very good and there seems to be more actual design in the content of the presentations [last year, there was a lot of talk about the future]. One of the potentially most interesting presentations is a Photoshop battle between some luminaries from the web design world. I prefer Fireworks to Photoshop but the 'battle' should still be a different type of presentation.
The other good thing about the conference this year is that more of the speakers are on my podcast and/or RSS list. Therefore, more of a guarantee that the presentations will be exciting and of increased personal interest.
Fingers crossed for a 'grand day out'!
